The SmartTapply medal does not continuously track or transmit a pet’s location. Any shared location depends on a supported device, user permission, network access, and the relevant feature being available.

No guarantee of recovery

A QR or NFC medal can improve access to pet and owner information, but SmartTapply cannot guarantee that a person will scan the medal, contact the owner, or return a lost pet.

Owner-provided data

Important pet, contact, medical, and emergency information may be entered by the account holder. SmartTapply cannot independently guarantee that owner-entered information is complete, current, or medically correct.

Technology limitations

QR readability, NFC compatibility, internet connectivity, browser permissions, device behavior, hosting, and external services can affect the availability or performance of SmartTapply.

Emergency use

Do not rely on SmartTapply as the only method for emergency planning. Keep appropriate physical identification, veterinary contacts, local emergency resources, and other suitable precautions.
